Our Firm and its History

Haspel & McLeod, P.C., located in Rockville, Maryland, is a law firm that concentrates its resources in representing our clients in all aspects of family law. Our firm uses a team approach which includes having a partner and an associate work with each client to ensure that every client gets the best possible representation. Clients are not charged for the second attorney when both attorneys are working together on the same task. Our firm combines the attentiveness of a small firm with all of the resources and expertise of a larger firm; the result is excellence. Haspel & McLeod, P.C. has received the highest ratings (AV) for legal ability and general-ethical standards from Martindale Hubbell. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of bar members and the judiciary, and attest to the individual lawyer's legal ability and adherence to professional standards of ethics.

The predecessor firm of Haspel & Meiselman, Chartered was established in May, 1987 as a law practice concentrating on Family Law. Gwendolen Lesh McLeod joined that firm as an associate in 1990 and became a partner in 1995. Upon the dissolution of Haspel & Meiselman in June, 2002, the firm of Haspel & McLeod was founded by Linda Haspel and Gwendolen McLeod. With the exception of a former partner and one associate, all of the staff of the former firm elected to join Haspel & McLeod.
